Generally speaking, I'm about as far up usability's ass as a straight man can get without questioning himself. Maybe even a little more so… I try to follow usability guidelines as much as possible in all my projects, as far as I can stand to do so.

But now I've added a non-standard search form in the side column. I love that search form, and those like it. Still I've made mine closer to a standard (Windows) text input than I've never seen anyone else do.
